Weeks went by and nothing grew. Last panel depicted both Charlie and Linus discussing why their tree would not grow and figured out that it was not growing because they planted the seed upside down. Obviously, it was chosen for the year book. From then my creativity has been full blown. I also come from a creative family, my grandfather and grandmother poets in their own rights. Please tell us about your art. Most of my work consist of oil on canvas. I would categorize it as expressionist with a modern cubist style.

I love to create dreamlike worlds full of color and style. My inspiration comes from nature, animals and colors. Color is the most important visual element in my pieces.

Born in the island of Cuba, the foliage and color of Cuba was ingrained in me as a small child. Working with color for me fuels my creative juices. I like my viewers to walk away from pieces thinking they were transported into magical, spiritual dreamlike worlds that they have never experienced.

The message I would LIKE for people to take away from my pieces is for them to realize that the beauty of nature and animals that surround us is the greatest gift they may have. To see it at its purity to take the time and realize how important it is to embrace it as part of life.

However, the message the viewer takes away from my pieces is such a personalized message, that my paintings just become a vehicle to tap into these feelings. This in its self is the beauty of art. Endless languages, endless emotions, endless brushstrokes. What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today? I think the biggest challenge for artist today is that their local communities do not have enough programs or cultural events supporting them.

There are too many vanity galleries, asking artist to pay a fee just to be exhibited in their gallery. She expanded her knowledge in this field at Florida Career Institute where she obtained a degree in Commercial Art. Her accomplishments in the graphic arts world earned her a respectable commission in from Carnival Cruise Lines to create a kinetic sculpture for their flagship hotel, the Crystal Palace Hotel and Casino in Nassau, Bahamas.
